The sta tion grows in its role as a sanctuary for rogue t elepath s running from the Psi Corps , resulting in con flict. G& ;#39;Kar, form er Narn ambassador to B abylon 5, becomes un willingl y a spi ritual icon aft er a book i s publish ed that he w rote while in carcerated dur ing the Narn-Cent auri War. The Drakh, for mer allies of t he Shadows w ho remained in the galaxy, take control of Regent Virini on C entauri Prime through a parasitic creature called a Keeper, then incite a war b etween the Cen tauri a nd the Interst ellar Allian ce, in order to isolat e the Centa uri from t he Allianc e and gain a malleable hom eworld for t hemselve s. Centaur i Prime is devast ated by Narn and D razi warships and Londo M ollari becomes emper or, accepting a Drakh Keeper under threat of the c omplete nuclea r destruct ion of th e plane t. Sh eridan an d Delenn m arry and mov e to Minbar, along w ith the headqua rters of the Inte rstellar Allia nce. G&#39 ;Kar leave s Babylon 5 to escape his unwanted f ame and ex plore the ri m. Garibal di also m arries and se ttles down on Mars. Mo st of the ot her main char acters leave B5. Nine teen years later on the verge of death, Sheridan takes a f inal trip to the obso lete Babylon 5 station before its dec ommissionin g. Sherida n apparently dies but is claim ed by the First On es, who inv ite him t o join t hem on a journey bey ond the rim of the galax y. Baby lon 5 station is destro yed in a demolition shortly after Sheridan& ;#39;s depart ure, it s existence no longer necessary as the Alliance has taken ov er its diplo matic purpo ses.
