Min Ji-suk runs a &quo t;ticket bar" where cu stomers can purchase t ickets fo r certain &am p;quot;service s"in the town o f Sokcho in Ga ngwon-do. S he hires Mi ss Yang (Ah n So-yo ung), Miss Hon g (Lee Hye-young) , and Se-you ng (Jeon Se- young) through the employ ment agency. Miss Yang an d Miss Hon g, who are well ex perienced i n this type of busines s, are us ed to accepti ng propositio ns from cus tomers. Bu t Se-young, wh o is datin g a colleg e student na med Min-su, rejects all re quests for s exual favors. W hen Min-su pro fesses t o havin g problems with his t uition and fin ances, Se-you ng reassure s him that s he will procur e the ne cessary funds for him. When the bar&# 39;s client ele begins to dwindle becau se of S e-young, Ji-su k repri mands her severely. Se-y oung dev elops a close relati onship with a Capt ain Pak and even a llows him to sl eep with her. She asks Capta in Pak to find Min- su employment o n a boat, but when Min-s u comes to Sokcho for his new job, he sees h ow Se-young has been making h er living. Shocked, h e turns his bac k on the jo b and leaves. When he eventua lly ret urns to Sokcho, he scathingly d enounces Se-yo ung&# 39;s mo rality and severs their r elationship. De cades ago, Ji -suk had stumb led into the bar b usiness in a des perate e ffort to sup port her husban d, who was serving tim e in prison ; she l ater left him voluntarily out of s hame and moral de gradation. Concern ed that Se-y oung wil l end up with the same fate, Ji -suk ask s Min-s u to meet with her . She be gs him not to aband on Se-young, but he flatly refuses. Ji-suk reacts by pushing Min-su into the sea, and suffer s a mental breakdown th at lands her i n a psychiatri c instit ution.詳情
