Th is triggers a war of i ndependence on Mars, which had long had a strained pol itical relationship with Earth. It is learned t hat genetic man ipulation by the Vo rlons is t he source of human telepat hy, as i t is later di scovered that Shadow ships a re vulnerable t o telep athic attacks. Former s tation comm ander J effrey Sincla ir returns to Babylon 5 to enlist t he aid of Captain Sh eridan, Del enn, Ivanov a and Marcus in stealing the Babylon 4 space stati on and s ending it 1, 00 0 years back i n time to use i t as a base o f operatio ns against the Shadows in t he prev ious Minbari -Shadow wa r.
