Night Fal ls in Indi a tells th e story of R icardo (Juan Di ego) and Dana (Clara Voda). Ricard o decid es to travel o verland to Ind ia, as h e used t o do in the old days, when he brou ght hippies to the East wit h his van, crossing Eur ope, Turkey, Iran and Pa kistan. B ut the situa tion is very di fferent now. Ri cardo has been in a whee lchair for the last ten y ears, suffe ring fro m a degene rative disease now in its fina l stage. He w ants to die on the banks of the Gange s River and meet Gadhali again. In this journe y, he is ac companied by Dana, hi s Rumanian housekeeper .
