Monk and his friends ar rive in New York to loc ate the man whom they were told has inf ormation about Trudy' s murder. W hen they arrive at the h otel, the L atvian ambassador who is also st aying there is kil led. Mon k saw the ki ller but only his ear. So he trie s to help the N YPD solve th e case hoping t hey will help them find the man. When Mon k goes downtow n, he gets lo st and g ets swept up in all the chaos.
