In this season, the show went back to airing one new episode a week, but stayed in the hour-length format, filling up the second half-hour with episodes from previous seasons and some of the prime-time specials from the 1980s. This entire season, along with the second half of season 6, is available on Garfield and Friends: Volume 5 DV D set. Also worth not ing is that he re, a new theme song was added that was written by J. R. Johnston a nd Neil Panton. The th eme was sung by J.R . Johnston . This theme s ong was no t shown i nternat ionally, and as a resul t, it does not appear on t he DVDs ( although Gar field&am p;#39;s qu otations are ke pt intact ). This new introducti on sequen ce used mos t clips from Seasons 5-7 and a few from the first two se asons, as well as Garfie ld in Par adise and Garfield 's Feline Fan tasies. The epi sodes stopped using a few sec onds of the theme playi ng in the epi sode tit le cards afte r season seven& amp;#39; s fourth episod e; music from the episo des were used in the title c ards unti l the sh ow ende d, even th ough seas on six used music from some of t heir epi sodes.詳情
