In this season, the show went back to airing one new episode a week, but stayed in the hour-length format, filling up the second half-hour with episodes from previous seasons and some of the prime-time specials from the 1980s. This entire season, along with the second half of season 6, is available on Garfield and Friends: Volume 5 D VD set. A lso worth noting is t hat her e, a new them e song was added t hat was wr itten by J.R . Johnston and Ne il Panton. T he theme was sung by J.R. John ston. Thi s theme song was n ot shown internat ionally, and as a result , it does not appear on the DVDs (although Garfie ld&# 39;s quotati ons are kep t intact) . This new intr oduction seq uence used most clips from Se asons 5-7 a nd a few from the firs t two sea sons, as well as G arfield i n Paradise a nd Garf ield& ;#39;s Feline Fan tasies. The episodes stopp ed using a f ew seconds of t he theme playing in th e episode tit le cards after season seven&a mp;#39;s fourth epi sode; music from the ep isodes were used in the title cards until the sh ow ended, even though season six used m usic from some of t heir episo des.詳情
