In this season, the show went back to airing one new episode a week, but stayed in the hour-length format, filling up the second half-hour with episodes from previous seasons and some of the prime-time specials from the 1980s. This entire season, along with the second half of season 6, is available on Garfield and Friends: Volume 5 DVD s et. Also worth noting is tha t here, a new theme song was added that was writte n by J.R. Johnston an d Neil Panton. The theme was sung by J.R. J ohnston. T his theme song was no t shown int ernationa lly, and as a result , it doe s not appear on the DVDs ( although Ga rfield& #39;s q uotations are kept intact). This new intr oductio n sequence used mo st clips from Seasons 5-7 an d a few fro m the first t wo seaso ns, as well as Garfield in Paradise an d Garfiel d's Fel ine Fantas ies. The episod es stopped using a few sec onds of the theme pl aying in the episo de title c ards after season seven&a mp;#39;s fou rth episode; m usic from th e episodes were use d in th e title card s until the s how ended, even tho ugh season six used music from s ome of their episodes.詳情
